A Grover Cleveland High School gym teacher is facing prison time after being arrested and charged with engaging in sexual relationships with two students at the Ridgewood school.

On Tuesday, 39-year-old Joy Morsi, of Long Island, was arrested within the confines of the 104th Precinct and charged with 20 counts each of third-degree rape and third-degree criminal sexual act and one count of endangering the welfare of a child in response to an alleged lengthy relationship with a then-16-year-old male student last year.

She posted bail and was released later Tuesday, but was rearrested and charged Wednesday with two more counts of third-degree criminal sexual act and one count of endangering the welfare of a child over an alleged Saturday incident with a second 16-year-old male student.

Morsi faces a total of eight years in prison if convicted in both cases.

According to the first criminal complaint, the relationship between Morsi and the victim began June 5 of last year, when Morsi allegedly engaged in both oral sex and sexual intercourse with the student in a gym closet.

The pair allegedly had sexual contact between 20 and 30 times until the student turned 17 and their relationship became legal a number of weeks later.

In the second complaint, Morsi allegedly exposed herself to the victim and engaged in oral sex with him in a basement office at the school.

Morsi was removed from the Ridgewood high school and the Department of Education expressed its displeasure with her alleged conduct in a statement.

“The Department immediately removed Joy Morsi from the classroom upon learning of the allegations,” the DOE said. “We find these claims disturbing and reprehensible and she will remain reassigned far from any student and the school pending a criminal investigation.”

She was ordered held on $25,000 bail and will return to court on June 23.
