The 104th Precinct’s Glendale Civilian Observation Patrol will be holding its August meeting today, Aug. 8, at 8 p.m.

The group, which is one of the oldest and most active civilian patrol groups in the entire city, normally meets at St. Pancras School on Myrtle Avenue but will hold tonight’s meeting at the United Taludical Seminary at 74-10 88 St.

If you would like to attend this meeting and need transportation, call (718) 497-1500 as soon as possible and G-COP members will arrange transportation for you.

The new meeting location will only be for August’s meeting as the usual meeting place does not have air conditioning.

Frank Kotnik Jr., president of G-COP, said that in September, the meetings will resume taking place at St. Pancras School at 68-20 Myrtle Ave.

Though the meetings are intended for members, the public is always invited to attend. To become a G-COP volunteer you must be a resident of the 104th Precinct, 18 years of age or older with no felony convictions.

Visit g-cop.org for more information.

Welcome to the discussion.
