The new Glendale Chamber of Commerce recently hosted their first family event of the year with almost 200 children and their families showing up to enjoy the festivities which included photos with the Easter bunny, face painting, a coloring table, balloon twisting and a free plush gift for each child.

The event was free to the public and was made possible by the generous support of Glendale Chamber of Commerce members and caring volunteers from Zum Stammtisch, the Glendale Civilian Observation Patrol (G-Cop), the Glendale Volunteer Ambulance Corps, A Sprinkle of Fun, Century 21 Amiable and Lasting Impressions Balloons.

Shown with some neighborhood children, back row, left to right are: Ray Hartman and Joe Simboli of G-Cop, the new Chamber president Patricia Gatt from the Queens Chronicle, the Easter Bunny (aka, Middle Village resident Sal Starace from G-Cop), Werner Lehner of Zum Stammtisch, Tom Silvestri and Krydus Krzysztof of G-Cop and Jonathon Miller from the Glendale Volunteer Ambulance Corps.

For information about becoming a member of the new Glendale Chamber of Commerce and to take part in future events, e-mail pattig213@aol.com or call Pat Gatt at (516) 835-1433.

Welcome to the discussion.
