A two-alarm fire ripped through a vacant Department of Transportation garage early Thursday morning, destroying the one-story brick structure.

The fire started at 4:55 a.m. inside of the garage, located at 69-49 Sybilla St. in Forest Hills, and eventually ripped through the roof, according to an FDNY spokesman.

The FDNY was on the scene by 5:01 a.m. and by 5:12 a.m., a second alarm was declared.

Twenty-five units and 105 firefighters ended up at the scene of the blaze in the frigid cold just before sunrise, authorities said.

First responders were eventually pulled out of the structure due to the dangerous conditions, and firefighters were able to get the fire under control at approximately 7:40 a.m., according to the FDNY.

A DOT spokesman said there will be “no long-term impacts on the agency’s operations” due to the fire.

No one was injured in the blaze and the investigation into what caused it is ongoing, the FDNY said.
