Homicide detectives are continuing to investigate the death of a Middle Village man who was found dead Saturday night in an Elmhurst motel.
Police from the NYPD’s 110th Precinct said Joseph Benzinger, 54, was found unconscious at about 11:40 p.m. in his room at the Crown Motor Inn at 74-01 Queens Blvd. by officers responding to a 911 call.
Published reports stated that Benzinger was strangled. He was pronounced dead at the scene by EMS personnel.
