Michelle Coleman, 16, of Forest Hills, shown with city Councilwoman Karen Koslowitz, recently served as a councilmember for a day at City Hall.

Coleman, a student at St. Agnes Academic High School in College Point and an intern in the councilwoman’s office, was participating in a project for Women’s History Month in which each member of the city council’s Women’s Caucus brought in a student from her district.

Michelle accompanied Koslowitz to City Hall and even introduced legislation pertaining to the Department of Transportation.

Michelle is a member of the National Honor Society. She will graduate in 2013 and hopes to study education and political science at Queens College.
