The Veterans for Catsimatidis Committee will be hosting a free brunch in honor and support of our veterans.

The brunch, affiliated with mayoral candidate John Catsimatidis, is open to all veterans in the area.

It will take place on July 13 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Edison Place Restaurant, located at 71-28 Cooper Ave. in Glendale.

In addition to the meal, six veterans will receive special awards.

Corrine Albert, a U.S. Navy nurse; Jose Beof Sr., a U.S. Merchant Marine; Marvin Jeffcoat of the U.S. Army; Raymond Lustig of the U.S. Air Force; John Toal of the U.S. Navy and Dan Wisotsky of the U.S. Marine Corps will all be honored at the event.

Attendees are permitted to bring a guest but space is limited so RSVP as soon as possible by contacting CatsVets Coordinator Gene Burch at (347) 924-0506.

Military and patriotic attire and decorations are encouraged.

The Veterans for Catsimatidis Committee is a group endorsing Republican mayoral candidate John Catsimatidis.

Welcome to the discussion.
