Ohr Natan Synagogue in Rego Park and the office of Councilwoman Karen Koslowitz recently coordinated a drive that collected 115 new pairs of children’s shoes to be distributed to needy families.

Koslowitz, center, has worked for several years on the project with Udi and Nava Maor, left, owners of the Blue Elephant children’s footware store in Forest Hills. They have collected more than 1,000 pairs of shoes for distribution in the community.

Ohr Natan was represented at the donation by Rabbi Nahum Kaziev, second from right, and Rabbi Avrekh Kaziev.

Welcome to the discussion.
