Two men are facing lengthy prison terms after being nabbed Friday for allegedly attempting to rape an 18-year-old woman in Ridgewood last week.

According to authorities, Franclin Velazquez, 21, of Brooklyn and Jorge Maldonado, 28, of the Bronx allegedly attacked the victim from behind as she was walking near the intersection of Putnam and Seneca avenues around 3 a.m. last Wednesday, July 16.

One of the suspects allegedly punched the woman in the head while the second allegedly choked her and covered her mouth with his hand before attempting, unsuccessfully, to steal her purse, police said.

Right as Velazquez and Maldonado allegedly began to sexually assault her, a passerby approached the scene, spooking the men.

The victim was taken to Woodhull Hospital in Brooklyn, where she was treated and released.

According to multiple reports, a tipster alerted authorities that they worked at the same 5 Napkin Burger, a restaurant in Manhattan.

Reports also said that Velazquez was nabbed at the eatery on Friday and Maldonado was arrested at his home.

The two were charged with first-degree attempted rape and sexual abuse, while Maldonado was also charged with assault.
