The 104th Precinct is urging residents to be on the lookout for two white or Hispanic men armed with kitchen knives responsible for a recent string of pedestrian robberies.

The seven crimes occurred between 3 p.m. and midnight, according to Det. Thomas Bell, with the first reported incident at 59-12 68 Ave. on Jan. 22.

A robbery at 60th Lane and 75th Avenue was reported on Feb. 17 and another occurred on Feb. 21 at 60th Place and Putnam Avenue.

The two suspects have become even more active over the last few days, as another robbery occurred near 59-50 Decatur St. on Sunday.

Then on Monday, victims were robbed at Grove Street and Forest Avenue, Cypress Avenue and Summerfield Street and 1708 Summerfield St.

None of the victims have been injured.

One suspect is described as being around 5-foot-4 while the other is around 6 feet tall. They follow their victims down the street and possibly obstruct their faces with clothing during the robberies, Bell said.
