Students from PS 153, PS 229 and St. Stanislaus Kostka School participated in a “Color the Web” contest during the Kiwanis Annual Pancake Breakfast on Nov. 3 at Martin Luther School in Maspeth.

The students were each given a spider web design to color, with local sponsors that supported the event on the back.

The kindergarden and first-grade winners were selected by their teachers and given a Barnes and Noble gift certificate and a free breakfast.

Joining the youngsters here are Dennis Dowd, the Maspeth Kiwanis president, and Angelo Russo, the web co-chairman, holding his daughter Julianna. The students are Alex Kedziwski, Daniella Russo, Nathan Zheng, Alan Onate, Sara Li, Sophia Zou, Emily Piszec, Patrick Sanuik, Elinelis DeLeon, Gabriella Montaluo, Sara Rosemond, Ashley Murrito, Isabella and Mariana Gutierrez.

Welcome to the discussion.
