Two men have been arrested in the strangulation death of a Jackson Heights teacher.

Cecil Golden, 20, and Elijah Agyepong, 19, both of the Bronx, were arrested on March 20 and 21 and charged with Murder 1, which denotes that the act was premeditated. Golden was charged additionally with criminal possession of stolen property.

On Feb. 3, David Rangel, 53, a Spanish teacher at a school in Flushing, was found strangled under his couch.

His was the second of three strangulation deaths of middle-aged gay men in the city during a two week period. At the time, some officials said the homicides could be linked through online dating, but since then different suspects have been arrested in each case.

The police divulged no information about the relationship between Rangel and the two men nor how they met.
