Greater Bethel Community Development Corporation will be honoring Good Men-Fathers in Queens, NY at a Father’s Day Celebration on June 16, 2012. Nominate your Father, Husband, Brother, Son, Grandfather, Child’s Faher, Friend or Someone you know who have stood in the gap to raise someone else children. Your outstanding individual will be publically celebrated at an awards program. Your nominee will receive a certificate from one of the following participating politicians:
Congressman Gregory Meeks, Senator Shirley Huntley, Assemblywoman Vivian Cook
Councilman Leroy Comrie, and Councilman Ruben Wills
Send your nominee’s name to queensgbcdc@gmail.com or mail it to Greater Bethel Community Development Corporation 94-21 Merrick Boulevard, Jamaica, NY 11433. Provide us with no more than seven sentences why your nominee should be honored. You will receive a response within 72 hours. The deadline is Friday, June 8, 2012.
The Father’s Day Celebration will be held on Saturday, June 16, 2012 at York College Gym. The gym is located at 160-02 Liberty Avenue, Jamaica, NY. The venue tickets are $20.00 per adult. Children are free. All adult attendees will receive up to $200.00 in products from participating companies in our monthly community give back. Participating companies are GAP, Bed Bath & Beyond, Buy Buy Baby, Baby King, and Home Depot. Come out and celebrate with us by applauding all the good fathers in our community.
