The Resiliency Roundtables at City of Water Day

Where & When: 11am-2pm at Governors Island and 12-2pm at Liberty State Park

The Resiliency Roundtables will be held at both Governors Island and Liberty State Park.  Come and find out what big government agencies, like USACE, will do and have been doing, post- Sandy, to restore the watershed areas near you.  Not only will you get to hear what they have to say about our waters, but this is your chance to ask those questions you’ve been dying to ask; each talk will be followed by a period of discussion and questions.  The government agencies will be at Governors Island speaking from 11-2pm.  Meanwhile, at Liberty State Park, the Resiliency Roundtable will have a more academic focus with two mini-lectures featuring two highly regarded Professors speaking about climate change, sustainability, and our waterways past, present, and future from 12-2 with the opportunity for questions and discussion.  The NY-NJ Harbor Coalition has been working hard to find speakers that will be engaging, informative, and exceptional so please come out and hear what they’ve got to say.  You might learn a thing or two about our watersheds!

The event is being hosted by the NY-NJ Harbor Coalition.
